by Roger Broders

1928 Beausoleil, a Mediterranean Eden of terraced houses, overlooks the beautiful city of Monte-Carlo.

Beausoleil, just uphill from Monte-Carlo and outside the border of Monaco (its casino is visible in the left distance, its palace compound on the peninsula beyond), was developed in 1904 for vacationers, residents and resort workers who couldn't find or afford accommondations in Monaco itself. Broders shows us a Mediterranean Eden of terraced houses.
